Connect Maltese Scouts with the world!
The Scout Association of Malta is looking for passionate volunteers to support and strengthen our International Department. If you have a keen interest in global Scouting, cultural exchange, and helping local groups engage internationally, this is your chance to get involved!
Your role:
Assist in developing International Department policies.
Coordinate meetings and communication with contacts appointed by WOSM and the European Region.
Submit annual reports, census data, fees, and subscriptions to WOSM/European Region.
Nominate and assist members representing Malta at international conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
Support local groups in overseas expeditions, camps, and trips.
Maintain a database of all travelling groups.
Keep the Association updated on global Scouting news, circulars, and notices.
Manage the team’s finances and budget.
Promote and coordinate international events such as JOTA/JOTI.
Support volunteering or work opportunities overseas.
Monitor international awards, including Messengers of Peace, Scouts of the World, and Explorer Belt.
Organize international events held in Malta.
Report to the International Commissioner.
You’ll be great at this if you:
Are a full member of The Scout Association of Malta for at least 5 years.
Understand the structure and operations of the local Association.
Have a passion for international Scouting and cross-cultural experiences.
Can communicate effectively with people of all ages.
Have leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Are creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
Have participated in international Scouting events such as Jamborees, conferences, or workshops.
