Appointment requirements
- Understand and accept The Scout Association of Malta’s policies
- Have a good knowledge on the structure and operating principles of the local Scout Association.
- A full member of The Scouts Association of Malta for at least 5 years
- Have a passion for international Scouting, and the broader contribution it can make to creating a better world.
- The ability to communicate (verbal and nonverbal) and relate to a range of people
- Ready to deal with complex challenges
- Well-developed leadership, representational and interpersonal skills – including the ability to develop local networks and globally.
- Demonstrated high-level of organisational skills and personal motivation.
- The ability to work intergenerationally with all local groups and members.
- An exemplary appreciation of international issues, including the perspectives of different cultures and preferably carried out an International experience in a Jamboree, conference, symposium, workshop or the similar.
- Initiative, perseverance and enthusiasm
- Ability to set measurable targets and deliver as promised.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and independent working.
- Ability to deliver as promised and to deadlines.
- Creativity in regard to new ways of providing Scouting in the community.
- Approachable at all reasonable times

Main Responsibilities
Assist in
- the development of the International Department Policies.
- meetings with the contacts appointed by the world scout committee and the European region.
- The delivery of information to WOSM and the European region such as the yearly financial reports, census and the similar.
- The settlement of fees, subscriptions and the similar as requested by WOSM and the European region.
- The nominate and assist members from the movement to represent the country in conferences, symposiums, workshops and the similar.
- The support, to local groups in overseas expeditions, camps and trips
- The upkeeping of a database of all travelling groups
- The keeping the association updated with news, circulars and notices issued globally.
- The upkeep of the team’s finances and budget.
- The promotion and coordination of International events such as JOTA/JOTI, and other International activities approved by the Scouts Association of Malta
- The promotion of volunteering or work opportunities overseas
- The monitoring of international awards such as Messengers of Peace, Scouts of the World and the Explorer Belt
- The organisation of international events held in Malta
