The Scout Association of Malta is seeking an Assistant Commissioner for Finance to support financial operations, budgeting, and long-term planning. This role plays a key part in maintaining transparency and ensuring resources are used effectively.
Your role:
Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling all financial operations of the Association.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Prepare, control, and analyse annual budgets for capital and recurrent expenditure.
Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for the National Council and Executive.
Assist Groups with financial matters and budgeting.
Support the Financial Controller in preparing the Financial Statements.
Present and explain financial matters during the Annual General Meeting.
Lead fundraising goal-setting, action plans, and implementation.
Serve as a principal signing officer for the Association.
Regularly report financial status to the Executive and Chief Commissioner.
Build relationships with external bodies and represent the Association at Scout and public events.
Report to the Chief Commissioner and Commissioner for Finance.

Have excellent financial knowledge and can analyse financial information effectively.
Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
Can lead, motivate, and inspire others.
Are organized, proactive, and able to deliver to deadlines.
Have experience with budgeting, fundraising, or financial planning.
Can commit the time required, including weekends and mid-week meetings.
