WSJ2027 Malta Contingent – Contingent Management Support Officer

As part of its aim to strengthen the planning team of the Maltese Contingent for Poland 2027, the team is looking to onboard a Contingent Management Support Officer.

Role:

The CMT (Contingent Management Team) Support Role is designed to provide flexible, cross-functional support to various departments within the Maltese Scout Contingent at the World Scout Jamboree. While this position does not have a narrowly defined set of responsibilities, the individual in this role collaborates with Admin, Communications, Safe from Harm, Health, Unit Support, IST Support, and the Malta Stand teams, assisting them as needed under the guidance of the Head of Contingent (HoC) and Deputy HoC. Their primary objective is to ensure the smooth operation of all contingent activities by stepping in where necessary and offering administrative, logistical, and operational support.

The CMT Support Role is a versatile position within the Maltese Scout Contingent, intended for an individual who can swiftly adapt to diverse tasks and team requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of Contingent and Deputy HoC, this person will function as a bridge across multiple departments, offering much-needed hands-on support wherever it’s required—be it administration, communications, safeguarding, health, unit support, IST support, or the Malta Stand. By maintaining a cooperative spirit and an eagerness to help, the CMT Support Role ensures that all contingent operations run smoothly, ultimately contributing to a positive and enriching experience for every participant at the World Scout Jamboree.

Skills Required:

An applicant for this role should have:

  • Ability to shift between varied tasks and responsibilities efficiently, often under tight deadlines or changing conditions.
  • Comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders—from youth participants to department leads and external partners.
  • Skilled at clearly conveying information, listening to needs, and offering constructive feedback.
  • Capable of prioritizing workloads and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to step into any role or task to ensure successful outcomes, fostering an inclusive and supportive team spirit.
  • Familiarity with the principles, values, and organizational structure of the Scout movement is beneficial.
  • Previous experience at a World Scout Jamboree is Preferred
  • Registered applicant with the Maltese Contingent for the World Scout Jamboree
