The Scout Association of Malta is set to make history as it sends its largest-ever contingent to the 26th World Scout Jamboree, which will take place in Poland in 2027. Led by Head of Contingent Timmy Cutugno and Deputy Head of Contingent David Grech, the Maltese contingent comprises 182 dedicated Adult Leaders and 244 enthusiastic young Scouts and Guides aged between 14 and 18. This unprecedented turnout underscores the growth, strength, and commitment of Scouting and Guiding in Malta, reinforcing its values of leadership, friendship, and adventure.

The World Scout Jamboree, organised by the Polish Scouts Association (Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego – ZHP) and the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), is the largest international Scouting event, bringing together thousands of Scouts and Guides from across the globe, from no less than 175 countries, for two weeks of cultural exchange, adventure, and skill-building. The event serves as a platform for young people to forge lifelong friendships, experience new cultures, and develop essential life skills in an environment that fosters teamwork, personal growth, and global citizenship.

“This is a momentous occasion for the Scout Association of Malta. Sending 405 members to the Jamboree is a testament to the dedication of our Leaders and the passion of our young Scouts. We are proud to showcase Malta’s Scouting spirit on the global stage. Apart from the size of the contingent, we are very excited to be joined by members of the Malta Girl Guides who will form part of our Contingent”
