Commissioner for Group Support & Assistant Commissioners – Call for Applications

The Scout Association is opening applications for the role of Commissioner for Group Support, as well as Assistant Commissioners to strengthen our Group Support Team.

This team plays a critical role in providing direct support, guidance, and oversight to our Scout Groups, ensuring quality scouting experiences, good governance, and alignment with our national strategic priorities.
🟠 Roles Available:
  • Commissioner for Group Support (National role, reports to Chief Commissioner)
  • Assistant Commissioners for Group Support (Regional roles)
🧭 Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Group Scout Leaders and ensure Groups are operating effectively.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and promote continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate capacity-building and leadership development in Groups.
  • Serve as a bridge between the national leadership and local groups.
✅ Ideal Profile:
  • Strong understanding of Scouting structures and POR.
  • Proven experience in leadership, mentoring, or group development.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to upholding the values and standards of the Scout Association.
