The Scout Association of Malta and the Malta Girl Guides Association organized the first ever Mediterranean Jamboree in the summer of 2018, running from the 1st to the 8th of August. This event was open for scouts and guides between the ages of 11 to 16 and it had the full support of the European Scout Region of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
1800 Scouts and Guides coming from different countries participated in this massive event at Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Campsite. The participants were divided into communities, with whom they participated by bridging their cultures whilst being in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea.
