As Scouts, our youth are the heart of our organisation. From our young Beavers taking their first steps in Scouting to Rovers completing life-altering challenges, the Award Night held on the 21st of February, on the eve of Founder`s Day, was a testament to the resilience and drive of our members.

The ceremony highlighted the successful completion of the sectional programs, which serve as the backbone of the Scouting journey. Starting the night off, 143 Beaver Scouts earned their Beaver Award, proving that the spark of Scouting starts young. The momentum continued through the sections, with 58 Mountaineer Awards presented to the Troop and 12 Olympian Awards to the Ventures. For the 14 Rovers receiving the myJourney Award, the night marked the culmination of years of personal development and self-discovery.

Beyond the core program, we celebrated achievements in global citizenship and environmental projects. With a remarkable 102 Scouts were recognised as Champions for Nature, while 76 earned the Scouts Go Solar badge. The fight against pollution was also front and centre, with 5 Plastic Tide Turners honoured for their work in ocean conservation. Additionally, 34 Messengers of Peace awards demonstrated that Malta’s youth are not just local leaders, but global citizens.
The evening also showcased incredible endurance, 23 adventurous Scouts were awarded the Explorer Belt, signifying their ability to navigate and immerse themselves in foreign cultures. Furthermore, the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award was presented to 29 Scouts at the Bronze level and 2 Scouts at the Silver level. Finally, the highest honour for the Rover section—the Silver Crest—was awarded to 3 Scouts, representing hundreds of hours of community service that leave a lasting footprint on the Maltese Islands.

As the Scouts returned to their groups across Malta and Gozo, they carried more than just certificates and badges; they carried the proof that with discipline and a “Be Prepared” mindset, no challenge is too hard to conquer!
